Letter From The Principal

Helen Dahlman - PrincipalWelcome to the Risen Christ Catholic School website. I am excited that you want to learn more about this dynamic faith and learning community in the heart of south Minneapolis.

We live our motto, "Preparing children for success in work and in life" by providing the children we serve with a safe, academically challenging and faith-filled environment for learning. We believe that it is essential that the adults in our community explicitly model and teach the academic, social and behavioral skills that are necessary for children to become people of strong character, faith and intellect in our community and world.

We are blessed with a richly diverse student body in every sense of the word. We have children from many different cultures, faith traditions, language, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. We celebrate life and learning with the energy and spirit that such diversity brings, and invite you to come and visit us at any time.

To schedule a visit or tour, please contact our school secretary, Tessa Floersch, at 612-822-5329, ext. 100; our principal, Liz Ramsey, at 612-822-5329, ext. 104; or me, Helen Dahlman, the school president, at 612-822-5329, ext. 101.

We look forward to seeing you!

Helen Dahlman
President, Risen Christ School

Risen Christ School Mission and Philosophy

At Risen Christ Catholic School, we are committed to developing the spiritual, academic, social, physical and leadership gifts of all of our children. We promote collaboration with families and the community in order to affirm and embrace our cultural diversity within a safe, academically challenging and Christian learning environment.

Risen Christ Catholic School believes in:

  • Offering quality Catholic educational opportunities to all students who choose to partake, including students from diverse family, financial, religious and cultural backgrounds from our surrounding communities.
  • Influencing all aspects of education with the Gospel message and Christian values.
  • Providing a core academic curriculum - teaching students to read, write, reason and communicate effectively.
  • Maintaining standards of quality, excellence and achievement without sacrificing service to those students and families in financial need.
  • Enriching the lives of our children by collaborating with local faith communities in order to provide meaningful, ecumenical and multicultural service, worship and program opportunities.
