Tuition (Family Share)

Tuition, or family share, at Risen Christ School is calculated on a sliding scale, based on a family's ability to pay. For the 2006-2007 school year, the family share ranges from not less than $750 per student to not more than $1,950 per student. (There is one exception to this: If a student receives a KidsFirst Scholarship, the cost may be less.) If there is more than one student at Risen Christ, the cost for the second and third student will be reduced if aid is requested. There is no charge for the fourth or fifth student from a family.

Because the school's mission is to serve all children in the neighborhoods of south Minneapolis, there is no difference between parishioner and non-parishioner tuition.

The cost of a child's education

The actual cost to educate a child at Risen Christ School is approximately $6,500 per student. The family share only covers a fraction of the cost to educate a child. The difference between tuition and the cost to educate is made up through contributions to the school, the support of the five founding parishes, support from sponsoring churches and the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Payment plans

There are several payment plans available. In addition to paying the full tuition in one payment, payments may be made in the following ways: a three-payment plan, a five-payment plan or electronic monthly payments.

Tim Dornfeld, business administrator, can answer questions about tuition at 612-822-5329, ext. 103. His email is tdornfeld@risenchristschool.org.
